CoverGirl Promotes GirlsCan Campaign

P&G Beauty’s CoverGirl is partnering with journalist Soledad O’Brien.

O’Brien, and her company, Starfish Media Group, will create and produce a series of true, untold stories, exploring some of the biggest challenges that young women face in achieving their dreams.

The online series, which will roll out during the coming months, will follow the lives of several young women and the challenges they face as they pursue education, finding a job or start a business.

O’Brien is also the co-founder of Starfish Foundation, which focuses on providing disadvantaged women with a higher education. The series will include lessons learned by some of the women who have succeeded through the Starfish Foundation.

The message is #GirlsCan – meaning, girls can feel empowered to create change in their lives.
To join the Girls Can movement, women are invited to share the “can’t” that they turned into a “can” using the hashtag, #GirlsCan on social media and CoverGirl’s website.
